kairaranga – New Zealand weaver

the excitement that bubbles below the surface

It’s like a spring, welling up inside, like when the jug’s about to boil.

Everything seems to be in alignment! For what??? I don’t know!!

It’s just that everything I do seems to be somehow connected to everything else I’m doing and want to be doing!!!

I feel refreshed but haven’t had any more rest than usual.

It’s something to do with creating.

Starting this blog that I don’t ever even expect anyone to read has opened up a door.

Unlocked a room full of…. something…!

I thought this would be hard but I’m coming home each day excited to create a new post.

Nothing earth shattering or original, everything in the world has been seen and done before, I know I don’t know anything more than the next weaver, actually, I know a lot less than most weavers, however, entering this world of websites, activating neurological synapses and joining to the web in a way I haven’t done before is just EXCITING, innervating, electric.

It’s another form of weaving I suppose, weaving the universe together, weaving technologies, ancient and modern, weaving countries and peoples together, I KNOW, IT’S BEEN DONE!! But I’m doing it, in my uniquely weird way, the only way I can do things, the special way I do things, the way I was born to do things, naturally, and in my own time, using my experiences and understandings of things.

Who could it possibly be of interest to?? We’ll see I guess.

News-wise, I’ve started using Notes on my iPhone iOS 18.3.1, I hope I’m allowed to say that here, I’m not sanctioned or paid to do any advertising. It’s just my phone and I use it a lot. As per my last post regarding our first meeting, I took handwritten notes in a lined diary but I’m a bit worried I’ll lose the diary so I wanted to have an online record that we could share and collaborate on. So I’ve started a folder in Notes, dictated the meeting minutes, which worked quite well, except for all the māori words which Siri is not quite up with. I’ll have to check if Māori is a language recognised by Siri.

Happy to say the the note taking worked quite well using the microphone and I just typed in the words that weren’t in english.

Once I had all the minutes written up, I attempted to share them to a gmail account so that our collective could collaborate on them but unfortunately this did not work and so I am going to have to troubleshoot this scenario and see if I can figure out how to share this file.

The next thing I did was to copy the notes to chatgpt and request a summary with bullet points for each of us and tasks that we each needed to work on for the next month!

I AM SO HAPPY WITH THE RESULT! Chatgpt gave me exactly what I asked for, a succinct and organised summary of notes and short list of tasks for us both. Oh lawd, I never thought I’d use AI or that it might actually be helpful!!!
